Let’s say there was a global unban. What would the players banned from forums have to do? Would they have to message staff in order to get their forums accounts unbanned? Just food for thought :p

The way they did it last time they got you to create an alternate forums account titled, for example 'TheKickedPuppy'sNetAppeal' through which you appeal, that account then gets deleted when your forums account gets unbanned.

Yeah I know. Was just seeing if that would be the same way they did it the last time or not.

Oh right, it seemed to work fairly well last time, I don't see why not. Anyone got a more efficient solution in mind?

I would prefer just a straight up /unban all, this is the line of best efficiency and I believe it's what most people want.

In my opinion no, since we had one 2 months ago. Although seeing as like 90% of the bans since then have been dupe related, I think we should be very lenient on those since a lot of them were kind of unfair in the way they were handled, what with how hectic the situation was.

It wasn’t meant for someone to convince us. We kept our word and unbanned those that were eligible. The only people we prevented from this was people with major offenses.

Actually it was a global unban because anybody who wanted to get unbanned could be? Besides those who were proven to have doxx/dossed somebody. Our approach towards it was to prevent all of the hacking alts from being automatically unbanned, since those number in the hundreds and even thousands, and are really just extensions of the one person using them. There was no "convincing" involved anywhere.

“Could be” Typically a global unban is used to unban all regardless of offense or reasoning. It was not in my opinion or anyone else’s that’s banned a global unban. All it introduced was a way for players network banned to get on and alt to make a forums acc and try to appeal.

This is my stand point and something I think players should also consider:

    • Many players are banned after repeat hacking offences - these players have had multiple chances and therefore do not deserve to be unbanned via global unban.

    • The same applies for extreme cases such as dossing and doxxing. These players have broken strict rules and deserve strict repercussions, not unbans.

    • Finally, those with clear evidence to duping bans, do not deserve to be unbanned via global unban. For the record, my point of view is those with suspected duping bans only deserve a chance to appeal (not necessarily always be unbanned) after a reset has taken place.

On cases other than this, I feel like a global unban could be run to allow players with less extreme or first time offence cases to have another chance on the server.

As a final reminder, to anyone who hasnt been on the forums in a while. On the 29th of March players who fell under certain circumstances were provided with a chance to be unbanned on appeal. Check that out here: http://forum.treasurewars.net/threads/the-road-ahead-whats-changing.323244/
