    Here we go Adventurers, the moment you've all been waiting for! I can feel the excitement growing as we prepare to embark on a brand new adventure for TreasureWars. As a team, we're very excited to announce that the next season for Treasure Wars is finally here this Saturday! After all the sleepless nights, we're finally ready to share what we have been working so hard on, and we can't wait for everyone to experience it! We decided to name this reset "The Return", as the main goal of this next chapter is to return to the best times of Treasure Wars - back to basics. Without further ado, let me present to you what this reset to offer.. And while this post doesn't cover every little change made, these are the stand-out features!

    Terrain Reset
    It's time to drop your bags and leave your treasure behind. As I'm sure you're all expecting, the first part of this upcoming reset is a complete terrain reset. When the reset commences, all realms will have a fresh world with plenty of space to explore, and even more for some brand new competition! However, this time we're doing some things differently! With this reset, we will be moving down to an 7,500 x 7,500 world size! This will push everyone slightly closer together, and will make finding factions a little easier, so watch out!

    We've also been working very hard to make these new worlds much better for Factions. To do this, we have gone ahead and severely lowered the chances of certain biomes like jungles, and completely removed others like extreme hills. This world will be much flatter, with more of the biomes you'll actually use - exciting right? Along with this, we're also happy to say that this reset will include completely flat bedrock, something everyone has been asking for!


    Faction Resources
    As a team, this is one new feature that we're very excited to be talking about. If you remember back to the survey we did not long ago, you'll recall a question regarding changes to grinding and the way it works - and now you'll know why we asked. Faction resources is a whole new grinding system that serves a very specific purpose. Mainly, this system is being introduced to drastically increase server performance. Currently, hoppers are the main cause of lag on Treasure Wars, which is affecting things like redstone, cannons and much more.

    With the reset, we will officially be removing the normal functionality of Hoppers. From now onwards, Hoppers will be used as a transportation device to send items directly to your Faction resources, which will hold ANYTHING that comes from a spawner mob and goes into a hopper. This completely cuts out the need to have huge chest sorting systems for your spawners, and allows you to essentially have only ONE hopper per spawner - that's it! To access your Faction resources, simply use /f resources.

    Along with the above, when an outside user breaks one of your faction's spawners, they will also take a percentage of the resources you have for that specific spawner, and it'll go straight into theirs! We're incredibly excited about this system, as it opens so many doors for Factions as a plugin. From here, we plan to expand into things like Faction upgrades, and many more core changes to the gameplay.

    Cannon Schematics

    A brand new system that we're very excited to announce is the addition of Cannon Schematics to Treasure Wars! After our recent survey, we have come to understand that there's a large gap within the Faction community! A large part of this game is Raiding, and the numbers show that over 80% of the server have absolutely no idea how to cannon or raid. To help bridge this gap, we now have a new schematic system, where you can purchase Cannons from the raiding shop in-game, and paste them wherever you like! These cannons will be be far more expensive than building it yourself, so keep that in mind. To begin, we will only be offering a limited number of cannons, however this will constantly expand! Now everyone can participate in the game, and everyone will need to be afraid, since there will be a lot more cannons from now on!

    PlayerVaults Revamp

    It's no lie that we've had our fair share of issues with the current Player Vault system, whether it's players losing items or certain items becoming corrupt, it's been a pain! Because of this, we decided to take this time to completely re-write and completely re-vamp the Player Vaults concept. When logging on, you'll find a brand new GUI which makes it incredibly easy to navigate, along with the ability to rename your vaults too! With this change, we also decided to reduce the amount of vaults that each rank will receive. We understand this won't be liked by everyone, however it was for good reason! We wanted to ensure that Vaults have as much value as possible, and that users need to be very careful how they use their space. From now, Explorers will have access to 1 vault, and then each donator rank will give you access to one extra page, with the exception of God rank giving two extra pages, with a 7 page total.

    Brand New Shop

    This is one change we're incredibly excited to discuss, however not quite ready to show just yet! This reset will introduce an updated Goblin Gold Exchange, with a whole new layout! Say goodbye to signs, and welcome a much easier GUI category system that will make things much nicer to navigate, and more enjoyable in general! Excuse the lack of pictures, we want to leave this one as a special surprise!

    Generation Buckets

    In conjunction with the Cannon Schematics, we're taking another step to ensure this season is action packed and able to be enjoyed by everyone! We're happy to introduce Gen Buckets to the server. This item will also be purchased at the raiding shop merchant, and will allow users to easily create certain types of base walls. To begin we will be offering two kinds of Gen buckets, those being sand and cobblestone.

    Enchantments Update

    The long awaited Enchantment update! The community has been asking for our enchantments to be balanced and reconsidered for the longest time, and we're finally there! We're going back to basics with Enchantments, back to a time where PVP was fun and enjoyed by the whole community, towards the beginning of Treasure Wars. Firstly, we decided to completely REMOVE SHIFT PVP, since this was an overwhelming suggestion from the community.

    Then, the team spent many, many days as a group going through our current enchantments and deciding what should stay, and what should go. We have a large list of Enchantments that we have gone ahead and removed from Treasure Wars, to make room for a much cleaner PVP experience, and many more new enchantments to come!

    Now, onto the additions! Once again the team worked very hard to bring in a few brand new enchantments for this reset - enchantments that are balanced and very useful. Along with this, we'll be constantly adding more enchants every month!

    Explosive [Tools]: Destroys a 3x3x(Lvl) section with every block you break, incredibly useful for base creation.

    Haste [Tools]: Gives the haste potion effect (based on your enchantment level) whenever using your selected tool, once again very good for base creation.

    Ore Smelter [Tools]: Automatically smelts any ores you break, making mining a walk in the park!

    Miners Luck [Tools]: Gives a chance of collecting double or higher ore drops based on your enchantment level.

    Iron Lung [Armor]: Gives infinite underwater breathing, unaffected by enchantment levels.

    Fitness [Armor]: Gives a chance to gain Speed 4 when low on health, higher chance per enchantment level. This will be very useful when escaping fights.

    Body Breaker [Sword]: Each enemy hit, this enchant gives you a chance of dealing twice the durability damage towards your opponent, chance getting higher per enchant level.

    Slaughter [Sword]: The perfect grinding tool! This enchant kills multiple mobs in a merged stack, each enchantment level increasing the chance.

    Treasure Lottery
    It's time to make it rain! Say hello to the brand new Treasure Lottery system! With the reset, you'll now notice that a brand new merchant has taken place of the current Casino merchant in the store. Every 3 hours, there will be a global lottery system with unlimited tickets available! The more tickets you purchase, the more chance you have of taking the whole pot! Simply click the Merchant at shop to purchase as many tickets as you like!

    Treasure Classes Changes

    Yet another huge change with this next season, and something that some will love, and others might not. Similar to the Enchantment updates, the community has made it very clear that Classes need to be balanced for the future of Treasure Wars, and that's exactly what we've done here. To begin, we've completely redesigned the Class GUI to provide a much nicer experience. With this, you'll notice an added "preview" system when right clicking a class, this will allow you to have a look at certain classes before you purchase them!

    Now to the important stuff. In order for us to completely balance the classes and finally make them all good again, we decided it was only necessary to remove the older classes, since they were completely useless, and it would have been impossible to make them good, since they were extremely cheap. So, below is a list of all the classes that have been removed from Treasure Wars. If you currently own any of these classes, you will receive a "Random Class Gem" on join, where you will have a random chance of getting some class gear, or even perm unlocking one of the better classes.

    As for the existing classes, they have all been discussed in-depth by the staff team, and buffed/nerfed depending on the class. What we're left with is a very fair system that I'm sure everyone will enjoy! At the moment we aren't going to disclose the changes to existing classes, so you'll need to wait until the reset to check them out!

    Lastly, we're introducing a new way to gain classes from the store! Similar to the Halloween Boss we had not long ago, users will now have a random chance of either receiving a class set or a permanent class when right clicking their Class Gem. The point of this system is to make new classes much rarer, that way they are more valuable in-game. Because of this, we will also be drastically reducing the prices on our classes, so you can look forward to that!

    Smaller Updates

    Below is a list of smaller updates, changes and adjustments that don't necessarily need a full paragraph but are certainly still worth mentioning!
    • Removed IG Stacking: A few months back, we decided to begin stacking Iron Golems in groups of 10 to increase server performance along with some hopper changes. Since we've done some major optimizations to the server, we no longer need to stack the Iron Golems, and they'll be going back to how they used to be!
    • 20 Power Per Player: Due to an overwhelming amount of support regarding this change, we're now updating the Faction power per player to 20 each rather than 10! We hope you enjoy this change.
    • Slime Spawner Chunks: After the reset, Slime Spawners will now be fully functional in all chunks!
    • Raised IG Price: After some discussions with the Staff team, we've decided to increase the price of IG spawners to 2 million dollars each - this is subject to possible change as the season gets older.
    • Removed money notes: This is a rather large change, but also very straight forward. We've made the executive decision to completely remove money notes from Treasure Wars. We did this for the main reason that it makes things impossible for the team and the community to track. We want everyone to know exactly who is the richest user on the server, instead of hiding all their money in chests!
    • Removed Shard Merchant: The Shard merchant has been put to rest for now, as we try to further simplify the gameplay of Treasure Wars. Pets are now in many of our loot tables, and can be unlocked in many other ways.
    • New Pet formatting: If you own any pets, you'll notice that they now have a much cleaner look! Pets now give more information on what they actually do, along with a larger EXP bar to give you more specific information on your pet's level.
    • Forum Account Linking: You can now link your in-game account to the forums using /link on any of the realms.
    • Removed stacking ability: You'll notice once the reset goes live that certain items can no longer be stacked! Things like Spawners, slot crystals and much more won't be stackable, meaning you'll need to find new places to hide them from potential enemies!
    • Trading Money: Since we removed Money Notes, there will now be an option in the /trade menu to add certain amounts of money, to prevent any scamming.
    • Sell Wand Changes: Since grinding drops are no longer in chests, sell wands will be replaced with the new "Sell Tokens", which will have slightly different functionality.
    Mayhem Begins
    Starting at roughly 5pm EST This Thursday, Mayhem will ensue on all four resetting realms! For those of you that don't know, mayhem is a period of chaos on the server that we can all enjoy before each reset, and will last up until the servers are taken down on Saturday! During mayhem there will be free signs around spawn where you will be able to gain free loot, gear and much more! As we get closer to the reset, the loot and gear will get better, so be sure to come online and cause some mayhem!
