Treasure Wars Network Rules and Regulations

Here at Treasure Wars, we have a few rules put into place to maintain a safe and fun environment for all players. These rules, listed below, are to be followed at all times when playing on the Treasure Wars Server, or using our services. Any offences breaking these rules will result in a punishment.

Rules Notice

All rules listed in this thread are to be followed when playing on the Treasure Wars Network. Rules are subject to be changed and it is your responsibility to keep up to date with them. Please be advised that the punishment ladders supplied are the expected punishment. The Management Team maintains the right to punish, for any offence, at their own discretion. As we have placed the rules in tier categories it does not mean that the punishments will be combined into one, all punishments will still be independent and will not affect any other punishment ladders. These rules are applicable to Discord direct messages and in-game messages and will be enforced according to the punishment ladder.

While these rules are only enforced on our server and services, the Management Team (Administrators, Developers or Owners) can still take action against players breaking severe offences on third-party platforms on a case by case basis.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the rules, please contact a staff member.

Common Sense and Good Morality

When playing on our server or using any of our services, use common sense when making decisions and actions on the server. While some things may not be listed in the rules directly, it’s your responsibility to uphold good behavior. This punishment can only come from Administrators.

Racism and Xenophobia

Here at Treasure Wars, we have a zero-tolerance to racism policy; racial slurs or anything of the like in global chat will result in a permanent mute on the first offence. The punishment length may be reduced at a later date, depending on the severity of the case.

Purchasing an Unban

Players who have been banned temporarily or permanently from the server, and are not Network Banned, may purchase an unban from our store. This unban package may only be purchased once a month and can be purchased for any ban reason. Players who purchase this unban will have their punishment ladder for what they were banned for reset. For example, if you were banned for "Offensive Language [4th Offence]", you will start back at the 1st offence when you purchase an unban. This only applies to the type of offence and violation you were previously banned for and when you purchase the unban, and does not affect any other violation ladder.

Keep in mind that when you purchase an unban, you're not exempt from being banned again. Be sure to read through the rules again so you do not risk your account being removed from the server. Your permission to buy an unban may be revoked at any time by an admin, depending on the severity of your punishment.

Tier 1 Rules:

All rules in the category tier 1 will follow the appropriate ladder listed below:

1st Offence: Formal Warning

2nd Offence: 1 Hour Mute

3rd Offence: 1 Day Mute

4th Offence: 7 day Mute

5th Offence: 30 day Mute

6th Offence: Permanent Mute

Staff Disrespect

Staff disrespect will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Staff disrespect is entirely determined by the staff member present at the time. A staff member is not expected to take any form of abuse at all.

Impersonation of Staff Members

Attempting to impersonate a staff member through nicknames or changing your actual Minecraft Username to one very similar to a staff member’s can be considered impersonation. We also consider changing the names of items to look very similar to a staff members text impersonation. All staff members can be identified by the rank in front of their username.

Helpers have a pink Helper tag.
Moderators have a blue Mod tag.
Senior Moderators have a gold Sr. Mod tag.
Administrators and Server Directors have a red Admin tag.

Inappropriate Comments

The use of any racial slurs, discriminatory slurs, offensive language, or any comments deemed inappropriate by staff members in global chat are against this rule.

Spamming Messages or Commands

Attempting to send an excessive amount of unwanted messages or spam that results in the flooding of the chat will result in punishment. Multiple messages that share a resemblance or are flooding the chat can be considered spam. Starting spam can result in a punishment for spam as well. As Minecraft does have a character limit per message, we do allow people to have a continued conversation that may span across multiple lines, this is not considered chat flooding and nor should it be confused with spam. This also includes command spam whether it be to join a faction or changing faction relations.

Foreign Languages

Please note that this is an English speaking server meaning that any language other than English is not allowed on the network.

Death Threats

Death Threats in public channels/chats on any of our services is against the rules. Examples of this are, but not limited to, "go die", "kys" or "drink bleach". Trying to circumvent this rule by stating "In game" or something similar will also be punished under this punishment ladder. Death threats are allowed in faction’s chats and/or private messages.

Tier 2 Rules:

All rules in the category tier 2 will follow the appropriate ladder listed below:

1st Offence: 1 day ban

2nd Offence: 3 day ban

3rd Offence: 7 day ban

4th Offence: 14 day ban

5th Offence: 30 day ban

6th Offence: Permanent ban

TP/TPA Trapping

TP/TPA trapping that removes a player's ability to /spawn, /home or otherwise play will result in a punishment without warning. However, you are allowed to ask people to TP for clue scroll kills. If a player chooses to enter a dangerous area they do so at their own risk.

In Game Scamming

If you try and sell an item and do not give said item, or do not pay for the item you are trying to buy from another player, you are scamming. This can include /ah scamming. This is when you put an item in /ah and attempt to scam someone for in-game money. For example, when someone puts a golden sword in ah and renames it using an item name tag to the golden knife.

Mute Evading

Players are not allowed to evade mute punishments. This means using methods such as selling notes on the /ah with messages on them or typing on signs to communicate. This is just a short list of examples of what we consider mute evading and is not limited to these examples.

Crusher Style Derps

Players are not allowed to create, or use, crusher-style derps, or traps, in which players are trapped in less than the following: a two block high, by one block wide region where they can defend themselves without any obstructions. This can include, but is not limited to, the following instances:

  • Drowning
  • Suffocation
  • Glass
  • Gates
  • Fences
  • Slabs
  • Anvils
War coin Farming

War coin farming is where players use alternate accounts that are all positioned in warzones where war coins can be obtained by killing them. Using this method will result in a punishment and any attempt to circumvent this rule will not be tolerated.

Knowledge Farming

Knowledge farming is where players use and kill alternate accounts to farm knowledge. Using this method will result in a punishment and any attempt to circumvent this rule will not be tolerated. This also includes blood-well.

Voyage Teaming

Teaming in any voyage that states 'No Teaming' will result in a removal from the current event without warning. Teaming would include but is not limited to: Supplying items to any other player, Extensively avoiding the same player or players and anything else that would aid another players gameplay.

Tier 3 Rules:

All rules in the category tier 3 will follow the appropriate ladder listed below:

1st Offence: 7 day ban

2nd Offence: 14 day Ban

3rd Offence: 30 day ban

4th Offence: Permanent ban

Exploiting Bugs: Non /f top related

Exploiting a glitch or a bug on the server for your own benefit or for others is not allowed. This applies to all glitches or bugs. Failing to report exploits and game breaking bugs to the staff team can result in punishment. These are bugs that are NOT related to /f top and cannot affect /f top. This ladder can be altered depending on the severity of the bug/exploit used.

IRL Trading

Attempting to trade virtual goods for real-life money or items on a different game/server via a treasure wars platform is considered Attempted In Real Life Trading.

Removal of Report Evidence

If you make a report, and then later remove the evidence, you are putting yourself at risk of being banned for Removal of Evidence.

Teaming with Hackers

A faction can be viewed as a group working towards a common goal or accomplishment. Factions can be warned and disbanded for hosting or helping a hacker in the faction.

Anyone caught teaming with a hacker, whether that's supplying them gear or being in the same faction as them and not reporting them to a staff member, will be subject to a punishment. Having repeated hackers in your faction can result in faction members being punished/the faction disbanded. You are not required to show evidence of faction relations however the video evidence must show clear evidence of the hacker teaming with the player or faction.

Fly Boost

Any use of a fly boost modification will result in a punishment following the ladder above.

Tier 4 Rules:

All rules in the category tier 4 will follow the appropriate ladder listed below:

1st Offence: Permanent Ban

Illegal Modifications and Hacked Clients

Any player found using something that modifies the game and gives you an unfair advantage is against the rules and will result in a ban on the server without any warning given. We do not want any clients, resource packs, mod, or any other program that will modify the game outside of what has been set up for the server.

You can find a list of modifications which are safe to use in our Whitelisted Modifications List.

[Screenshots of yourself on a client are acceptable evidence.]

Advertising links to websites outside of Treasure Wars, discord servers, minecraft servers and your own social media pages can result in a ban. You are allowed to advertise your faction discords in chat however please do this moderately.

Offensive Usernames

If your Minecraft Username does not follow any of our rules, you will be banned permanently from the server. You will be able to appeal your ban after you have changed your username to one which follows our rules. Players WILL NOT be unbanned under any circumstances if their username was disrespecting a staff member.

Offensive skins and capes representing explicit material are forbidden. Players whose skin or cape do not follow our rules will be permanently banned from the server until changed.

In Real Life Scamming

In Real Life Scamming is when a player attempts to trade items or goods on the server for real life money or a package from our webstore. When a player pays IRL money to another player trade for something in-game and the other player does not follow, they are being scammed with real money.

Attempting to chargeback your package violates our Terms and Conditions. You are not legible to purchase an unban once you have carried out a chargeback. This rule also includes charging back purchases you have made on another player's account.

Evading Punishment

Evading any punishment will result in a more severe punishment. This could include a permanent mute or ban. If you are found to be ban evading, staff will issue the same length punishment on your main account to your alt accounts.

All alternate accounts which are logged onto the server under your IP Address will be linked to your account and considered your responsibility for any rules violated on these accounts.

You may only have a maximum of 40 alts logged on at any one time.

Insiding is defined as removing spawners or valuables from the base without the expressed permission of the leader to do so. When a player adds spawners (or a derp for example) to a base or faction claims they are adding into the faction pool. Those spawners are now considered property of the faction and not the player specifically. Players may only remove spawners with the okay from their leader/co-leaders. If you are caught helping inside a faction, the same punishment will apply. These cases are dealt with on a case by case factor and punishments can be altered to suit.

Players may not purposefully or maliciously undermine the faction. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Removing Spawners.
  • Sabotaging faction claims or defenses.
  • /f open’ing Alt factions.
  • Allowing themselves to be killed to make their faction overclaimable.
  • Leaving the faction in order to make them overclaimable.
Please make sure to have the appropriate /f access set up in place to prevent the possibility of insiding. This can include but is not limited to:

  • Making sure alt factions are properly closed
  • Ceggs / TNT are disabled for faction members within important claims.
  • TNT is disabled for faction members within base claims
  • Faction claim their base with their faction or ally faction to avoid people /f leaving
  • Ensuring new mods and / or members do not have access to items that could leave the faction vulnerable (such as sponge or obsidian within base claims)
Exploiting Bugs: /f top related

Exploiting a glitch or a bug on the server for your own benefit or for others is not allowed. This applies to all glitches or bugs. Failing to report exploits and game breaking bugs to the staff team can result in punishment. Any bugs that are abused that can affect /f top are subject to a permanent ban. This includes glitching into bases, glitch cegging into bases, and etc.

Tier 5 Rules:

All rules in the category tier 5 will follow the appropriate ladder listed below:

1st Offence: Network Ban / At the discretion of Management

Duplication Glitches

Any use of a duplication glitch will result in both individual and faction punishment. If you are caught with possession of duped items or have knowledge of duped items you are also subject to the punishment above including but not limited to complete pv wipe and full network ban. Duplicating items/distributing/having possession of duped items will also result in a faction disband and disqualification from winning the /f top prizes at the end of the season. These cases are dealt with on a case by case factor and punishments can be altered to suit.

DDoS Threats / Personal Attacks

Purposefully attacking any player by releasing their information, threatening them, or sending them attacks is not tolerated under any circumstances. Sensitive information such as full names, addresses, IP Addresses, phone numbers, personal images, and etc are to be respected by that person’s privacy. Releasing any type of information about a player will be considered a release of personal information, regardless if it is from Treasure Wars platforms and services.

This includes but isn't limited to:

"You're going offline."

"I'm going to DDoS you."
